Marcello was a brilliant Environmental Engineer who loved the mountains. He frequented it, respected it and lived it in many ways. Marcello was a rare person who gave to others much more than he received in return. He never spared himself, as evidenced by his commitment to academics, work and civic affairs. He was able to combine great culture and innate intelligence with a sincere generosity and humility, such that made him simply special.
The family, his partner Marianna, and engineering colleagues and friends, with the support of Unimore, wanted to establish degree awards to support boys and girls who, like Marcello, decided to turn the light on the heritage near their home, highlighting its fragilities, but having the spirit to roll up their sleeves to find efficient and sustainable solutions day after day.
Liberal Donations Earmarked for Marcello Fiorentini Study Awards.
Individuals and companies can donate monetary amounts to support the "Marcello Fiorentini Awards" project. Prizes will be awarded to brilliant students who, like Marcello, have decided to turn the light on the heritage near their homes, highlighting its fragilities, but having the spirit to roll up their sleeves to find efficient and sustainable solutions day after day.

Methods of donation
Donations can be made in two ways, subject to national regulations on payments to public administration entities.
Through PagoPa Unimore platform with Credit Card
- Accessing the payment portal PagoPa - Unimore.
- Once connected, select the Spontaneous Payment box.
- A page will appear for you to fill out to define the payment details. Select Payments to Central Administration and as Reason for Payment the value DONATIONS - CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION and enter "Marcello Fiorentini Awards" as the reason for payment.
- Proceed with the remaining data and complete the payment process.
Through PagoPa at your bank with a transfer through the CBILL system
- Request the issuance of the payment notice from the Budget Office ufficiobilancio@unimore.it
- Make the transfer in your bank's CBILL banking system (including online) with payment made out to University of Modena and Reggio Emilia institution code: AWAGF and using the notice code/payment IUV code issued by the University.
- In the Reason for Payment enter "Marcello Fiorentini Awards."
Concluding operations
In both payment methods, the donor is asked to send the payment receipt and the completed Donation Form in its entirety to ufficiobilancio@unimore.it
