The Ethics Committee of the University for Research performs a technical-consultative function and expresses opinions on the ethical aspects of research projects involving people, excluding those falling within the competence of the Ethics Committees of Healthcare-Hospital Companies.

HOW TO SUBMIT A REQUEST FOR AN OPINION TO THE ETHICS COMMITTEE
The richiestthe opinion is drawn up by filling in a form and then sending a confirmation email to the address cea.ricerca@pec.unimore.it within the first 10 days of each month; the date of sending the email will be valid.
The request mayis to be presented exclusively by lecturers and researchers belonging to UNIMORE. Doctoral and postgraduate students cannot apply independently: the request must be submitted by the respective tutors or UNIMORE contact persons, responsible for the correct conduct of the research.

with the UNIMORE credentials, fill in the online form and upload all the required documentation.of the operation you will receive a confirmation email.
If the DPO of the university has been consulted, it is possible, optionally, to attach his opinion when sending the documentation to the Committee.
- Sending PEC and registration
For taking charge of the practice by the Ethics Committeeit is necessary to send the only screen of the confirmation email via certified email to the address cea.ricerca@pec.unimore.it, indicating as subject "Request for ethical opinionmust be indicated in any subsequent request for integration.
The Head of the research project could be convened by the Ethics Committee if the project is particularly complex.
PROCEDURE FOR SENDING A REQUEST for RECTIFICATION OR INTEGRATION OF THE DOCUMENTATION SENT
In case of rectification/supplementaction it is necessary to fill out again the form in the portal https://unimore365.sharepoint.com/sites/RichiesteCEAperlaricercainAteneo in edit mode for only the parts that you want to add or correct indicating the application protocol number.>
The request for rectification will be automatically taken over by the Ethics Committee office, it is not necessary to send an email confirming completion.

TIMING
The completion of the form and subsequent sending of the email must be strictly carried out no later than 23:00 on the 10th of each month.
Requests received after this date will be processed in the next sessionssiva.
The members of the Committee, therefore, express their opinion or make any further observations by the end of the month following the submission of the applications and finally the Ethics Committee secretariat takes care to send the final opinion to the Project Manager within 7 days of final approval.
In the event of a "Suspended with note" opinion, it is necessary to send the requested additions by filling in the form in editing mode within six months from the date of receipt of the opinion. At the end of the six months, a new opinion request must be completed.

DOCUMENTATION TO BE UPLOADED IN THE FORM ACCOMPANYING THE REQUEST FOR AN OPINION
- Synopsis in English or Italian if the project is written in another language
- Copy of the Research Project complete with all its parts, including entities and sources of fundingfunding (public/private), description of the activities, objectives, impact, methodology, expected results, description of the partnership and participants, ethical issues, as well as all supporting documents, annexes and any amendments, if not already specified in the ethics sheet with request for opinion;
- In the case of projects funded or for which funding is requested, Department resolution in which the approval is expressed to the presentation of the project or letter signed by the Director that must be ratified at the first Council or Department Board;
- Any opinions on ethical issues expressed by the funding body, for example: the Ethics Summary Report requested by the Research Executive Agency of the European Commission indrafting phase of the Grant Agreement;
- Any significant reports, of which the proponent is aware, issued by other Ethics Committees previously consulted to acquire an opinion on the proposed research, both negative and positive;
- All the documents necessary for the ethical evaluation of the research, for example: copy of the information sheet form andthe informed consent of the subjects participating in the research, drawn up in their native language and including information on the sources of funding, public or private (here we give the opportunity to download informed consent forms);
The Committee may request additional documents necessary for the ethical evaluation of the project.
