Welcome and support desk

The Welcome and Support Desk is a service aimed at all University staff, both permanent and temporary, who are experiencing organisational difficulties, work-related stress or harassment.

Who it is for

The Desk, promoted as part of a wider project on organisational wellbeing at the University, is aimed at all teaching, research and administrative staff who experience psychological distress, organisational discomfort or work-related stress in the workplace and need support to cope with these issues and prevent situations related to bullying. The situations generally dealt with by the Desk are:   
- Difficulties in adapting to the organisational context;   
- Anxiety blocks and difficulty concentrating at work;   
- Demotivation   
- Difficulties in dealing with stress   
- Work-related psychological distress of various kinds (anxiety, depressed mood, social phobia, panic attacks)   
- Relational difficulties in the working environment

Purpose

The Welcome and Support Desk aims to provide, through a completely free service, counselling and psychological support through individual interviews in complete confidentiality. The issues presented will be explored in depth in order to identify possible interventions or solutions, including those of an organisational nature.

 

Psychologist in charge

The Welcome and Support Desk is run by Dr Lucia Camellini, Occupational Psychologist and Psychotherapist.

The first interview will take place according to the following schedule   
1. information on the purpose and methods of performing the service;   
2. completion of a privacy form;   
3. brief collection of personal data;   
4. spontaneous account of the discomfort.

Professional in charge

Dr Lucia Camellini 

Occupational psychologist and psychotherapist, freelance. In the field of occupational psychology, she provides business consulting in the public and private sectors, carrying out project and change management, recruitment, training, managerial and executive coaching, and short-term counselling to combat work-related distress. In the clinical field, she offers psychological counselling and individual psychotherapy to private individuals, also in collaboration with international and local welfare platforms.
