Applicants must hold a degree obtained under DM 270/2004, DM 509/1999, the regulations prior to DM 509/1999, or equivalent qualifications in:
- Single-cycle Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (Class LM-41, Class 46/S);
- Single-cycle Master’s Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics (Class LM-46, Class 52/S);
- Registration with the Italian Register of Dentists.

Selection based on qualifications (academic degrees, professional experience, scientific publications, awards for scientific activity).

The course aims to train professionals capable of planning and conducting orthodontic treatment in adult patients with scientific rigor, a multidisciplinary vision, and attention to individualized therapeutic planning.

- Provide the fundamentals of orthodontic documentation and biomechanics for proper clinical case planning.
- Define indications, limits of camouflage, criteria for extraction and surgical cases, and management of skeletal asymmetries.
- Explore the treatment of adult patients: therapeutic timing, malocclusions, and transverse discrepancies.
- Develop competencies in skeletal anchorage (TADs), space recovery with the straight-wire technique, indirect bonding, and finishing.
- Integrate adult patient aesthetics, comparison between straight-wire and aligners, compliance management, and the orthodontic–periodontal–prosthetic interdisciplinary approach.
