Since the 2004/2005 academic year, Unimore has been awarding all graduates, in accordance with the reform of university system regulations (Min. Decrees 509/99 and 270/04), the bilingual Diploma Supplement, namely a document supplementing the official qualification.
This document, born on the initiative of the European Commission, the Council of Europe and Unesco/Cepes, aims to overcome the obstacles that do not allow the adequate spendability and recognition of qualifications in the context of national and international mobility of those who intend to pursue their studies in European academic institutions and in the integration into the world of work.
The Diploma Supplement contains, in Italian and English, all the information concerning the educational pathway followed by the student, divided into eight sections:
- Master data;
- Degree information;
- Information on the level of the degree;
- Information on curriculum and achievements;
- Information on the scope of use of the degree;
- Additional information;
- Endorsement of the supplement;
- Information on the national higher education system.
For graduates from the academic year 2004/2005 to 2013/2014, the Diploma supplement is issued in paper format, exempt from stamp duty, together with the Degree Parchment by the Registrar’s Office.
As of the 2014/2015 academic year, the Diploma supplement in Unimore is issued with a Digital Signature and Stamp.
The digital Diploma Supplement can be downloaded by the graduate by accessing his or her personal page at www.esse3.unimore.it and sent by Unimore to a specific email address entered by the graduate.
By issuing the Diploma Supplement in digital format, the University provides an important service to graduates who can access this supplementary document of their studies at any time via a web application.
