It has advisory, investigative and control functions concerning the implementation of and compliance with the provisions of the Code of Ethics. It favours, where possible, the amicable settlement of any disputes, reports to the competent bodies those responsible for any non-compliance, may also propose disciplinary measures and submits to the competent bodies proposals to revise or supplement the Code of Ethics. The Commission is composed of the Dean of Professors, a non-university jurist indicated jointly by the Presidents of the Courts of Modena and Reggio Emilia, a Lecturer chosen by the Academic Senate, a Researcher chosen by the Academic Senate, a representative of the Council of Technical-Administrative Staff and a representative of the Student Conference.
