The General Manager, on the basis of the guidelines provided by the Board of Directors, is responsible for the overall management and organisation of the services, instrumental resources and technical-administrative staff of the University and contributes to the identification of the necessary resources, also for the purposes of the three-year planning document for personnel requirements (Article 16 of the University Statute). After consultation with the Rector, the Director General assigns managerial positions to staff units that must operate under conditions of autonomy and responsibility for the achievement of annual objectives, exercises powers of expenditure and acquisition of revenue, carries out organisational activities, personnel management and labour relations. The Director General holds office for three years.
