Who are the Top Students
- Graduates of the 2023-2024 school year with top marks, i.e. 100/100 in the baccalaureate exam and enrolling in any UNIMORE course.
- Those who have obtained a mark of 110/110 in the final examination of a Bachelor's degree (three-year) or university diploma who are enrolling in the first year of a Master's degree course (two-year).
Advantages
- TOTAL EXEMPTION
Residents in a municipality outside Emilia Romagna will pay only the fixed costs of 159.67 euro for the first year of enrolment at UNIMORE. - PARTIAL EXEMPTION Residents of a municipality in the Emilia Romagna region will pay for the first year of enrolment at UNIMORE, the total sum of 859.67 euro to be paid in two instalments: (159.67 at the time of enrolment and 700.00 at the time of the second instalment).
Please note that the deadline for payment of the second instalment is 15/11/2024 for those enrolling in the first year of three-year degrees or single-cycle master's degrees, and 20/12/2024 for those enrolling in the first year of master's degrees.
Deadlines
- by 6 November 2024, 3.00 p.m. for students enrolling in the first year of a three-year or single-cycle degree course;
- by 20 December 2024, 3.00 p.m. for students enrolling in the first year of two-year master's degree programmes.
The application for the Top Student exemption can be completed exclusively online from the first days of July 2024 via the ER.GO website. SPID is required to submit the application.

- First fill in the 'PERSONAL DATA' form
- Next, in the 'ECONOMIC DATA' form, you will be asked whether you wish to declare your economic status, here select 'NO'.
- You then access the "COMPETITION BENEFITS FORM" and the only choice you can make is "TOP STUDENT EXEMPTION".
- If you are resident in Emilia Romagna, for this single type of exemption you must select: Partial exemption for Top Student freshmen;
- If you are not resident in Emilia Romagna for this single type of exemption you must select the item: Total exemption for Top Student freshmen;
We suggest applying online before enrolling at the university. In any case, you will need to be in possession of the SPID digital identity, electronic identity card (CIE) or national services card (CNS - health card)
To complete the online application, you can contact the CAFs affiliated with ER.GO free of charge
Once you have confirmed your online application, you will find on your personal Esse3 page under 'Fees' the pagoPA payment notice already prepared with the amount to be paid.
For the Top Student exemption, there is NO economic or financial status (ISEE) requirement. If, however, you are also interested in other competitive benefits (e.g. study grant), you can fill in the dedicated on-line application, but in this case you must follow the rules set out in the Announcement regarding the economic/asset requirement and the deadlines for the benefits or services you are interested in applying for, after obtaining the ISEE 2024 Certificate (for subsidised benefits for the right to university study).
